Seafood feast in Kalk Bay...

What a divine lunch we had at Harbour House in Kalk Bay. Oscar & I feasted on grilled crayfish, prawns, mussels, sole & very more-ish desserts panacotta & sorbet. I think we wobbled home. People From Afar, as you may know by now (if you glance at my blog from time to time), this is one of the finest seafood restaurants in Cape Town - it's sister restaurant is in an equally stunning position at the V&A Waterfront. Kalk Bay is about 25 minutes out of the central city & well worth the drive. It's a pretty ride & a quaint village welcomes you with lots to see, to browse & shop in.....put it on your must- see list.... 'You don't need a holiday, you need Cape Town' ....

Sole served with spinach, steamed prawn tails & a Pernod cream sauce...

Mussels in white wine, cream & garlic..served with a lightly toasted ciabatta..

The grilled crayfish...

A tian of prawns...one of the most popular dishes at Harbour House..

Nothing wrong with the view overlooking the working Harbour & bay...

Yoghurt panacotta infused with amaretto & swimming in a delicate berry coulis...

A delicious palate cleanser...the sorbet served on pineapple carpaccio & in a chili lime syrup... a lovely finale...

And after your meal, take a meander around the Kalk Bay Harbour- seals are at play & colourful fishing boats offload their daily catches...
