Off to Kalk Bay, Cape Town
How fortunate to be able to have a meeting in the picturesque seaside village that is Kalk Bay, about 25 minutes from the City. The sweeping views along the journey, across the Muizenberg Bay into Kalk Bay, are totally stunning. An early lunch at La Parada- the newly opened Spanish tapas bar, next door to the Olympia Cafe- was fabulous. Chef Eva, newly landed from Spain, is creating authentic tapas dishes from the Seville area - ensaladilla (prawn salad), croque tas de jamon (ham croquets), arroz con leche (rice pudding) etc etc....deliciousness! Eva, born in Madrid, previously worked as a chef in a 3 star Michelin restaurant in Seville. La Parada is open daily from 12pm until late with a full bar service available. The friendly waitrons speak Spanish too, just in case. It's time for a bit of Spain by the sea, so vamos - go & see for yourself!
