The Old Oak Manor & Cafe Felix, Riebeeck Kasteel

There are lovely places to lay your head in Riebeeck Kasteel, an hour away from Cape Town ~ the Old Oak Manor in Church Street is one of them. We were welcomed by Malcolm & his very friendly staff, & checked into the Felix room, a small cosy space. Cafe Felix (Felix is the name of one of the owners cats apparently) is on the same property & the food is excellent. Other options: our friends stayed at Suikerbossie in Skool Street, beautifully styled self catering house & ate at another good restaurant called Bar Bar Black Sheep. People From Afar, head out to this delightful town & soak up its hospitality, landscapes, food & more ...it's a trip worth taking. http://www.cafefelix.co.za/old-oak-manor/ oh, & don't forget to pick up a few jars of olives at the Olive Boutique. I'm told once you've eaten them you'll never touch another olive from elsewhere.
