Best vintage market ever...in Bangkok: TALAD ROT FAI

The Talad Rot Fai vintage night market near Chatuchak is open weekends only, from Friday to Sunday, from 07h until 02h. This place totally rocks- it takes retro design and innovation to another level and it is without a doubt the coolest night market in the city. Never have I seen so many exceptional stores and food stalls in one area- everything from a cartoonist drawing brilliant caricatures (just show her a pic on your phone & voila!), to chefs producing outstanding dimsum, divine pancakes & homemade chocolate milk, to retro furniture design, antique collectables, vintage clothing and more. Now that I'm so into the chiffon look inspired by the ladies of BK, I picked up about 3 blouses for about R100, I kid you not. If you're into design & love vintage & retro, don't waste time & get to this amaze place- it's classic- a fabulous experience and a must for all BK visitors. Start with a beer at Rod's cafe (no food available there) & eat at one of the stalls...just watch out for weird stuff in your noodle soup...my kids nearly platzed when chicken feet bobbed to the surface of their food bowls. Lateral Paul on the other hand.....

A cartoon of me & Lateral Paul...from a pic on my phone that I showed the illustrator...

Chairs...amazing chair designs are everywhere...

One of the many retro stores...

Take a seat on a stylish bench...how is the circular shape...LOVE it!

Have a Chang beer at Rod's Cafe...

Getting there: take the MRT Metro) to Kampaeng Phet Station. Get out at exit 3 (Or Tor Gor Market) then cross the road and walk about 450 meters west (10 minutes) on Kampaeng Phet Road, away from Chatuchak Market. Ask directions if you are confused. ENJOY!
