Luke's school journey comes to an end
A very emotional week as Luke left Camps Bay High School after 13 years in the Camps Bay schools family. Thursday evening was Celebration, the annual prize-giving for Grades 8-12. Oscar did brilliantly, placing 4th in Grade 8 & taking the award for Arts & Culture. Luke placed 9th in Matric & was awarded Special Honours for outstanding marks achieved in the June & Prelim exams. He was also awarded the Richard Stuttaford Trophy as Best All Rounder- an incredible citation was read out for this prize. The evening was outstanding. Luke & his co- Prefects have led the school remarkably & the ceremony was so moving & made me proud to be part of the school. The handover to the incoming Prefects for 2012 was fantastic as well - all the best to them as they taken such an important mantle.
Friday morning was Valeditory. Parents met beforehand for tea in the Prefects Quad & then went in to the final assembly for the 2012 Matrics. Again, amazing. Very moving. I really missed having Paul there- he is in Bangkok on business. Well done Luke & all the best for what I believe will be a brilliant future. Bring On Tomorrow!
