Amphitheatre, just outside Cape Town

This is a beautiful amphitheatre called Oude Libertas, just outside Stellenbosch in Cape Town, about a 40 minute drive from the City. Every year they present a summer season of fabulous entertainment - music, dance, song, all done in a perfect setting. Last night La Rosa, South Arica's most established Spanish dance company, opened '... en el Flamenco Tablao'. A stunning performance setting... check out their websites www.larosa.co.za & www.oudelibertas.co.za @LaRosa1990

A morning walk along Victoria Road, Clifton

A walk along Victoria Road in Clifton is (Instagram) heaven! This has to be one of the most exquisite & scenic coastal areas in the world, with the 4 pristine (Blue Flag status) beach coves & the majestic 12 Apostles mountain range forming a backdrop to the dramatic landscape. Clifton is one of the most coveted residential areas in Cape Town where properties fetch unbelievably high prices, sought after by the rich & famous of SA & beyond. One of great advantages of the suburb is that when that bitch South Easter gale is blowing the City into a mass of bad hair moments, there is nary a breath of wind in Clifton. True story.

Lunch at Harbour House Waterfront

It was the perfect day for lunch outdoors, on the deck at Harbour House, the Waterfront restaurant ( the other Harbour House is in Kalk Bay). Deliciousness came at us from all directions...the view, the vino & the food...gazpacho appetizers, fish soup, house salad, grilled calamari, & ending off with panacotta & sorbet for dessert. This is an exceptional restaurant & a must on the to-do list for locals & People From Afar. @HarbourHouseVnA

New Coffee Shop, Cape Town

Spotted this new coffee shop- The Blend-in Roeland Street...they offer various blends including Origin, Deluxe & Truth. Roeland Street begins at the top of the hill with Viglietti Motors (Ferrarri & Maserati dealers) & ends with the Houses of Parliament. The fabulous Book Lounge is nearby, on the corner of Roeland and Buitenkant? Re the coffee, my flat white was smooth & the owner is very friendly...pop in sometime*

Jason for coffee...

Ok so you've heard time and again about Jason Deli & Bakery in Bree Street, Cape Town. Up until recently it was an 8-3pm spot but now, good news, he is trading on Saturdays from The Hatch, the original outlet for good coffee & delectable pastries like pasteis de nata, empanadas & more. @captainbreadza is Jason's handle.

Cape Town, City Centre

This pic was taken from Artscape 's piazza area, see the next image. Believe it or nay, the movie Dredd was filmed in part at the Artscape. It's an amazing building actually, built in 1971 & currently home to the City's Ballet, Opera & Jazz companies. All the major shows happen here, like Phantom of the Opera, Les Mis, Cats, Chicago &, starting this week, Dirty Dancing. It's a beautiful theatre venue @ ArtscapeTheatre

This is the view of an unusual mountain called Lions Head which slopes down to form Signal Hill. Climbing up Lions Head is huge attraction for locals and tourists alike & the view from the top is spectacular. A definite must for anyone's itinerary whether from near or far.
