Beach paradise, Haad Salad, on Koh Phangan in Thailand
Haad Salad, on Koh Phangan's West coast, is 600m of beach with soft creamy sand and crystal clear waters in a shade of blue I'm not even going to attempt to describe. It is about 10-15 minutes out of town by car or scooter and is seriously gorgeous. A place to drop your towel for a few hours, slide into the cool sea for a wallow, drop into a restaurant chair on the waters edge, sip a Chang (beer) and plop back onto your towel for round two, and three... This is true holiday life, done at a sloth's pace with no time pressures and no stress...try it, you'll be back time and again for more. Like us.
On the way there - keep a keen lookout for the Haad Salad sign as the turnoff isn't too obvious...
Boats in the bay...
Perfect for little people too...
2 of my 3 guys....we're missing Luke big time this trip...
A few things to look out for - sharp coral when going in and out of the shallows...take loads of sunblock obvs, although the sun is less harsh than back home in Cape Town; have some pad Thai at. My Way restaurant and wash it down with a Chang or Singha beer, or even better, a fresh mango shake... Enjoy! www.haadsalad.info
