Coffee & pastries in Thongsala... Nira's ...

Everyone, whether tourist or local, talks about Nira's in Thongsala. It's rated for the coffee, breads and pastries. So of course coffee snob Lateral Paul (of bluecollarwhitecollar-RichardBransonWearsMyShirts fame), had to sample their beans and I natch zoned in on the pastries, and well, neither was that great (cappuccino and apple pie) but so what, it's an amazing place with really friendly staff, great service and a fab atmosphere- loads of Thai people and Farangs (foreigners) hanging together, which always makes for a cool vibe. Go visit.

Cappuccino ...strong, needing a lot of sugar to bring the bitterness down...

Apple pie...the pastry is a bit heavy but still tasty...

I didn't try the croissants...next time...want to see if they're soft, buttery 'n fluffy...
